Great beer, atmosphere & food. Highly recommended, especially without young kids even though they do cater for them.

Unfortunately on this occasion the food was not so pleasant. Soggy very greasy batter on fish.. the mixed veg seemed like frozen heated up.. and the garlic chicken was tasteless. However they apologised and gave us a discount We would have preferred a good meal. Sorry Parr Arms...

Very disappointed with our recent visit with friends. Waited 45 minutes for our meal to be served and when it eventually arrived it wasn't good. My husband had the steak pie which was inedible as the pastry was hard and very little meat and my small portion of fish and chips was half its usual size and the price had gone up. The staff weren't very amiable either. We've eaten regularly over 55 years at the Parr and always enjoyed eating there but sadly not any more

Went for quiet evening out with friends. We did book and the place was busy but we all enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service from the friendly and welcoming staff. Good value and definitely worth another visit.

Excellent choice of food away from the regular menu. The staff are very helpful especially the young man the waited on us.

Excellent stop here for a cracking Sunday lunch. The food is very very good - go for the Turkey and beef Sunday lunch - it’s epic. And the veg just adds to the whole meal. Well cooked, nicely presented and tasty with a capital T! Alison our server was fantastic- very funny jokes and a really great person who added to the overall experience! Very reasonably priced - with two rounds of drinks for four people the total bill was only around £125 - £30 a head and that includes some wonderful puds. Nice to see you get ample amounts of custard rather than the usual spoonful. Definitely going back. If you’re looking for a great dining experience any day of the week - you’ve got to try the Parr Arms

13th June, rented a narrowboat so moored up nearby & met family, its a wonderful little pub the food was amazing !! There were 7 of us attending my birthday meal & 7 of us were happy with the food it was beautiful & the service was great a lovely lady & the bar man was attentive too ! I'd highly recommend also the rhubarb vegan dessert was gorgeous, I'll definitely return if just for this, I ate Thai green off the specials menu it was absolutely delicious xxx what a gem of a pub !!

Excellent food and hearty-sized portions. Great decor and friendly staff. Dishes can be adapted for gluten free diners.
